INTENTIONAL DESIGN
Our homes are sacred spaces. It’s my passion, to not only assist you in decorating your home, but do so in an intentional way so that it represents you and your family. Integrating family heirlooms, religious or sentimental items and art, and working with what you may already have in order to maximize budget and sustainability is a part of the design process that I love.

Practical Design and Home Styling
I am a self-taught designer who started out initially being asked by friends and family to help them decorate their own home after coming for a visit to mine. I am a hand holder for someone who knows what they like but just needs someone to help them along the way navigating the often overwhelming world of decorating. I really believe this is a design ‘niche’ that needs attention and has become my bread and butter for those that have wanted my help over the past few years. I work simply on a personal level (shall I say “old school”) without a bunch of fancy computer programs, but just an eye for design and functionality, and an understanding of how busy and sometimes messy families who still want to live in a beautiful home operate. I like to call it “design for the rest of us”. Unlike the unlimited budget perfection we see online, most people have to work, at least somewhat, with what they have. I love to find a way to make a room look more polished and personalized with even simple to moderate changes. Rethinking floorplans, new paint colors, and adding touches such as antiques, rugs, and pillows can really make a dull space shine. These are the jobs I really love to take on. I might not be the designer for every project, but if I sound like one that could work for yours, let’s work together to help you love your home with beauty and budget kept in mind.

There is nothing quite like a vintage or antique rug, but depending on the project, budget, and your family’s needs, quality new rugs can also be used in the design.

As a creative I often get ideas for little sercies and every so often I actually make them come to life.
